Cet enseignement constitue une introduction à la neuropsychologie. Il a pour objectif de présenter les concepts de base en neuropsychologie (notion de localisation cérébrale, de spécialisation hémisphérique). Ainsi, les grands courants ayant mené au développement de la neuropsychologie chez l'enfant et l'adulte seront présentés dans l'historique. Les enseignements relatifs à le neuropsychologie de l'adulte concerneront quelques grands syndromes neuropsychologiques (agnosie, amnésie et aphasie). Les enseignements relatifs à l'enfant aborderont (1) les interactions gènes x environnement via l'étude de syndromes génétiques (syndrome de williams, syndrome de silver-russell) et (2) l'influence de l'environnement sur le fonctionnement cérébral via l'étude du trouble déficitaire de l'attention.
