The aim of this class is to continue practicing key speaking skills in Business English, whilst continuing to develop your knowledge of specialised vocabulary, for successful interactions in your professional endeavours.
For the first half of the semester, we will be focusing on your speaking skills for job interviews, looking at general expectations, how to highlight relevant skills, what to avoid doing and how to handle difficult questions.
In the second half of the semester, we will be focusing on key speaking skills for participating in phone and video calls in a professional context, looking at key phrases to use, different types of professional phone calls, the differences between phone and video communication, and how to handle difficulties with customers or with technology.
